Christ's Love in Action- Reynosa, Mexico

VBS in Reynosa!

Summer 2024

This little girl attended VBS one evening and began to ask a lot of questions about Jesus. She made the most important decision and that is to live her life for Jesus!

She also received her very first Bible!

      Brad and Manda met in 2012. Before they were even dating Brad helped load a container headed for Africa...

      I don't know if he knew what he was getting into at that point!


      Since that day, he has been Manda's biggest supporter and is what keeps Freedom House running.

      It is a lot of work, but when we see lives changed, even the kids agree that it's s worth all the hours put into it.

      There were over 400 people who showed up! 

      We did a skit about the Christmas story, served a hot meal, and they received a large bag of groceries, clothes, blankets, dishes, shoes, toys and much more for Christmas!

      About Freedom House Missions

      AFRICA


      Freedom House Missions was founded in 2011. Our work started in Yendi, Ghana, West Africa.

      In Yendi we opened a home for girls who had been in the child labor and sex slave industries.

      At the home the girls receive medical care, attend an in-house school, are taught useful job trades, but most importantly they are taught about the love of Christ!


      Also, while in Ghana we traveled to remote villages and shared the gospel. This was the first time for many of them to hear the message of Christ. We witnessed hundreds of salvations and were able to baptize many in the local rivers and water holes. 

      Villages that accept the message of Christ are provided with bibles in their native language as well as handmade drums for praise and worship. 


      In 2012 we shipped a 40' container from Missouri to Africa. In it contained supplies for the girl's home, along with a tractor and water wagon. The water wagon has a sand filter attached to it so we can haul clean, filtered water to villages that are miles away from any water source. 

      Receiving this water changed the lives of the women and girls who spent their entire day walking miles to fetch water for their families. They could now attend school, stay home and care for their children. It isn't just about the clean water; it's about a better quality of life.


      MEXICO


      In 2016 we felt called to start working in Chihuahua Mexico. 

      While in Mexico we have helped and worked with many differnent people and areas.


      While in Chihuahua we have worked with local churches and orphanages by suppling basic needs, food, and helping with outreach events.

      In May of 2022 we began working in the Sierra Madre Mountains with the Tarahumara Indians. Monthly each family would receive a large bag of food, clothing, and we preach the gospel to them. When we first started going to that area about 50 people who would show up. The last time we went down over 400 walked through the mountains, some of them up to 3 hours one way, to come meet us! 

      It was amazing to see how God worked in their lives. 

      While we were in the mountains, we were able to help build the first church in that area! We supplied the materials and labor for the foundation, walls, and even hauled down the materials and built a playground!


      In the Spring of 2024 God opened the door for us to work in Reynosa, Mexico. I believe it has been as big of a blessing for our family as it has been for the people we are working with. 

      In Reynosa we teamed up with a local church and travel to different areas preaching the gospel, holding VBS services for the kids, as well as men's and women's conferences, and youth retreats. 

      Each month we bring food to the children and people who live along the railroad tracks and dump areas, as well as needy families in the church.



      We have many people from home who help us by donating items (Clothes, toys, food, etc.) that we take down to Mexico each month. Without this support we wouldn't be able to be as effective as we are. 


      Thank you to everyone who helps us to continue to reach the less fortunate and blessing them with needed items, which opens the door for us to share with them the love of Christ!!
